OBITUARY
BLANTON
W. PEARL, 85; passed away July 4, 1996 in Dallas, TX. Pearl was born on November
4, 1910 in Farmer, Young County, TX. Pearl was a beloved wife, mother, and
grandmother; and will be missed very much and not forgotten. She was a member of
the Lady Chaplin Civitan Club of Bessemer, Alabama for a number of years. She
was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch. She is
survived by her husband of 62 years J. D.
Blanton; children and spouses, L. E. & Glenda McDonald of Euless, Jeanette &
Raymond Bassinger of Lewisville, Mary Sue & Johnny Rogers of Farmers
Branch, Dorothy & Jack Godfrey of Lewisville, LaDonna & Bobby Warnack of Argyle,
& Glenda & Leon Tubbs of Tutwiler, Miss.; 18 grandchildren; 30 great
grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Mary Belle Halbrook;
brothers, J. H., R. K., Don, & Jack Hoffman; and numerous nieces, nephews,
cousins, and a host of friends. Pearl is preceded (sic) in death by her
grandchildren: Karl Eric McDonald, Richard Ray Sparks, & Samuel Donald Sparks;
great grandchildren, Kenny Dale Gravley, Blue Tale Clark; brothers, O. V.
Hoffman, Buford Hoffman, Gerald Hoffman, & Sewell Hoffman. Services will be held
Saturday, July 6, 1996, 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch.
Officiating Rev. Sam Underwood, & Rev. W. B. Carraway. Interment
Farmers Branch Cemetery.
