Dave Blair Intermediate
Opened in the fall of 2002. The school is named for Dave Blair long-time
resident and former Mayor of Farmers Branch. The Blair’s children graduated
from R. L. Turner High School. Sharing a campus with Montgomery Elementary
School, the intermediate school will house third through fifth graders.

Dave Blair, E ’54, of Farmers Branch, Texas, was honored in a singular way
on March 2 with the dedication of the Dave Blair Intermediate School. Blair
served as mayor and city councilor, and on several municipal boards in
Farmers Branch. When he retired in 1996, the Dave and Lorraine Blair
Scholarship Fund was established at R. L. Turner High School. “I was humbled
by this honor,” he writes. “This naming of the school is the highlight of my
life.” |
