L. P. Montgomery Primary
Originally constructed as Valwood Elementary School in 1955, this was the
first elementary school built after the merging of Carrollton and Farmers
Branch Independent School Districts. L. P. Montgomery, a former science and
chemistry teacher at the old Carrollton High School, was principal of
Valwood for 27 years. When he retired in 1982, the school was renamed for
him.
