Dear Sister Should you get this letter will you please write to me .I have bin trying to get a letter from you for the past 20 years but have so far bin unsucessfull.I lately got a letter from Henery ,the first i have had in 6 year she is in Columbus,Mississippi but he did not seem to know whre you were living at. A man by the name of Edward Turpin killed a man in Gatllatin ,Tenn last month and I thought it was my cousin and gave me their adress. So I wrote to Dick and asked him for post office and he sayes that he has not heard from you lately but thinks you live near Adairsville Ky.The letter that I have from Dick is the first in 15 years.Iwould not write much in this letter for it may not reach you .I am in good health .My weight is 174 lbs and hope this find you well and the children enjoying the same.Ihave been living in this place about 9 years I have bin merchandising but gave it up about 3 months ago .I am now running a small Saddlery Shop and my office I hold the second best office in the County State &County Tax Assessor Have bin married about 7 years I have 3 children 2 girls& 1 boy the oldest 6 six years old and she is very smart .she reads well in the 3 third reader and writes a good hand. Imarried a Miss ireneJones she is now 25 years .I own 2 lots in this place .I have my Shop on one and my dwelling on the other .My shop is 10 by 32 two story high .My house is 10x40 with a shed room and gallery and I have the lumber on the ground to build a house .16x16 two story high and I have a good story barn.This is a fine community but very little farming is done here.Mostly stock rasing and grading We have good gardens the year round also oranges and leamons In 2 weeks I will have to mount my Texas pony and go to every man's house in this county ...it takes me 21 days to make the trip around as the county is very large.well sis ido hope you will get letter and write to me .I would like the best in the world to see you and your folks.I remain as ever your Brother
