"Moonlight Serenade," The Glenn Miller Orchestra soon became one of the greatest bands of its time.  In 1942, Glenn joined the U.S. Air Force to entertain the troops and formed the Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band.   On a flight from England to France on December 15, 1944, Glenn Miller died when the plane that was carrying him disappeared over the English Channel.  Glenn Miller has no relation to Chambers County.
