BROOKE, STRICKLAND, TABOR posted by Wanda Tabor on Thursday, June 12, 1997

Needing information on Daniel "Tip" Shipman TABOR. First wife Allie Pearl BROOKE, divorced and remarried to Ethel L. STRICKLAND in 1935. Did Daniel and Ethel have any children? What are their names? Who are Ethel's parents? Did she have siblings? Daniel died in 1948 and Ethel died in 1972. Both are buried in Coleman Co., side by side in the Burkett Cemetery. Would love to know if anyone can help with this. I have information about Daniel's descendants from his first marriage that I would gladly share in exchange for help with this. Please e-mail as I don't get to this page very often. Thank you for your time and help. Wanda Tabor

I would like to know the precise location (and eventual fate) of Camp Colorado which was one of many camps established to protect the frontier districts against Indian depradations. Several of my GREER ancestors were assigned there during the Civil War and one of my ancestors is buried at Coleman.
