OBITUARIES

You will find 20 obituaries to a page. They are not organized. I type them as I have time and from the stack of Paducah Post that I have. Time is my limiting factor, I have good intentions but never enough time to complete them. The mistakes are mine, typos that I miss as I proofread what I have done.

In this time of grief and sadness my prayers are for those who are in pain from losing a loved one. I ask that you remember the special times you had together, the joy, laughter and fun. Know that this loved one is no longer suffering. Remember always those cherished moments that take a life time to harvest.

Obituaries are provided by family members or friends to the funeral director before the service. The funeral director provides the Obit to the local newspaper who most graciously provide space free of charge in their paper. I would guess the Paducah Post over the last 100 years has used a truckload of paper and 55 gallon drum of ink, thousands of hours typing and proofreading Obituaries for the citizens of Cottle and King Counties and heard countless complaints because it didn't contain the correct information. If you get a chance to see Jimmye Taylor or Sue Wright, tell them thank you for all their work providing this last momenta of those recently departed.
