LORENZO (Special) Services for Rainey "Bo Pete" Morris Watson, 52, of Levelland will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Hankston, pastor of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of South Plains Funeral Home of Lubbock.
He died Wednesday in Cook Memorial Hospital in Levelland after a brief illness.
He was born in Trinidad and had lived in Lorenzo for 46 years. He had lived in Levelland for one year. He was a retired assistant manager at Redi Fuel Company. He was a sexton of the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Lorenzo. He was vice president of the Brotherhood of Caprock Baptist District Association of West Texas Headstarts Friends Association and Texas Open Heart Club. He was chairman of the trustee board at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nelle; his mother, Ruby Lee Baker of Lorenzo; two sons, Randy of Fort Campbell, Ky., and Russell of Levelland; two daughters, Cynthia Watson of Lorenzo and Sharon Sterns of Dallas; three brothers, Monroe of Lorenzo, Robert of Amarillo and Charlie Baker Jr., of Arlington; three sisters, Rosie Lee Walls of Amarillo, Anna Marie Baker of Lubbock and Barbara Baker of Fort Worth; and four grandchildren.
