U.S.Flag   CROSBYTON (Special)— Services for Edward Woods, 75, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. H.L. Phillips officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Crosbyton under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

He died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000, in Lubbock.

He was born Sept. 1, 1924, in Paris. He married Jennie Ann Jordan on July 29, 2000, in Lubbock. He was a member of the Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Crosbyton. He was a maintenance worker and was inducted into the U.S. Army on June 9, 1943. He was honorably discharged on Jan. 1, 1946. He received an EAME Campaign Medal with four bronze stars, a good conduct medal and a World War II victory medal.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, William Douglas Woods of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Shawn Woods of Los Angeles; and two brothers, James Sykes of Lubbock and Bennie Earl Sykes of Los Angeles.
