RALLS (Special) — Funeral services for Walter Thomas Powell, 75, retired farmer and resident of the area for 44 years, will be conducted at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home here.

Rene Woody, minister of the Ralls Church of Christ, assisted by Cleon Powell, a nephew of Oklahoma, will officiate with burial in Cone Cemetery under the direction of Carter.

Born in Marshall County, Tenn., Powell moved to Ralls from Kingston, Okla.

Survivors include the wife; two brothers, Garrett Powell, Pilot Point and Paul Powell, Plano; two sisters, Mrs. Calvin Davis, Celina and Mrs. E.T. Holder, Chapel Hill, Tenn.

RALLS (Special) — Services for Mrs. Maude Powell, 74, a resident of this area for 44 years, will be at 2 p.m. today in Carter Funeral Home Chapel.

Officiating will be Rene Woody, minister of Emma Church of Christ. Burial will be in Cone Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Powell was born in Denison and died at 2 a.m. Friday in Ralls Convalescent Home. She had been in ill health for several months.

Her husband preceded her in death Jan. 4.

Surviving is a brother, Thomas Leonard Miller of Hendrix, OK.
