Funeral services for David R. Stewart, 50, who died Monday, were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Floydada Primitive Baptist Church. Elders Dennis Taylor, of Grinnell, Iowa, Kenneth Martin of Muleshoe, and Joe Jackson of Cone conducted the service.
Stewart died of an apparent heart attack, in the Crosbyton hospital.
Burial was in the Cone Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Ralls.
A native of Erath Co. he had resided in Crosby County since 1936.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita; two sons, Ronnie Dean of Floydada and Rhudy of Lubbock; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Neff of Lubbock, four sisters, Mrs. Clara Mae Hicks of Floydada, Mrs. Linnie Marie Jones of Sanger, CA, Mrs. Naomi Marr of Abilene and Mrs. Cynthia Faye Martin of Spade, and five grandchildren.
He was a deacon in the Floydada Primitive Baptist Church.

Services for Juanita Stewart, 74, of Lubbock were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 1999 at Adams Funeral Home of Ralls with Rev. Elder Tom Taylor and Elder Don Martin of Perryton officiating.
Burial was in Cone Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
She died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, at Lubbock Hospitality House.
She was born August 6, 1925 in Pecan Gap, TX.
She married David R. Stewart on Jan. 24, 1942, in Clovis, NM. He died on May 20, 1974.
She was a member of the New Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Floydada. She worked in the purchasing department at General Dynamics. She moved to the Cone area in 1946 from Robertson.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Dortha Kemp and a great grandchild in 1989.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Dean Stewart of Roscoe, Rhudy Glenn Stewart of Lubbock; one daughter, Pat Neff of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
