Mildred and Clay Campbell Crosby County History Book
RALLS (Special) Services for Mildred Lomax Campbell, 76, of Ralls will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mrs. Campbell died Friday morning in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Medford, Ore., and moved to Ralls in 1937. She married Clay Campbell on Sept. 20, 1931, in Clovis, N.M. She was a graduate of Crosbyton High School. She was a former director for the Old Emma Cemetery, Ralls Historical Museum and the West Texas Pioneers and Old Settlers Reunion. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Stitch and Chatter Club, First Baptist Church and the Victory Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Bill C. of Lubbock; two brothers, Billy Kirk of Crosbyton and Curtis Lomax of DeVol, Okla.; and a sister, Lela Lowry of Shawnee Mission, Kan.

Services for Clay Campbell, 85, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2001 at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Floyd Haddock officiating and Randy Bartley assisting.
Masonic graveside services will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
He died on Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Covenant Medical Center E.R. in Lubbock, TX.
He was born Oct. 5, 1915, in Itasca, TX.
He married Mildred Edith Lomax on Sept. 20, 1931, in Clovis, N.M. She died May 10, 1991. He then married Hazel Ward Carroll on June 12, 1993, in Lubbock.
He moved to Ralls in 1937 and was a member of Ralls First Baptist Church, Ralls Emma Masonic Lodge No. 931, of which he was worshipful master from 1972 to 1973, and the Ralls Volunteer Fire Department. He worked for the Texas Department of Transportation for 44 years, retiring in 1977.
He was preceded in death by a son Bill C. Campbell who died March 10, 1992 and a sister Lucille Davis.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Valerie Caddell, Lisa Forsyth and Kendra Quinn, all of Lubbock; two brothers, Rhea of Lubbock and Johnny of Crosbyton; two sisters, Neva Fralin and Vivian Buckley, both of Lubbock; five grandchildren; Tony Carroll, Nicci Caddell, Ashley Addell, Curtis Carroll, and Samantha Quinn; and one great-grandchild, Aubrie Matthews.
