Services for Lela Fowler, 77, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 13, 1999, at Crosbyton Cemetery with Rev. Chris McCauley of Paducah officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

She died 6:03 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 11, 1999, at her Crosbyton residence.

She was born Mar. 26, 1921, in Corvell County. She married Norlan J. Fowler on Nov. 23, 1938, in Crosbyton. He died Sept. 11, 1992.

She was a Methodist and a member of the Big Four Quilting Club. She was a nurses aide at the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital for 15 years. She moved to Crosbyton in 1938. She is preceded in death by two brothers, J.W. "Jack" Foust and John Leonard Foust, and by a sister, Almeda Mitchell.

Survivors include one son, Randy J. Fowler of Floydada; two daughters, Janice St. Clair of Crosbyton and Norlena Fulford of Brownfield; one sister, Virginia "Jenny" Ray of Crosbyton; six grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
