Lena Givens

Services for Mrs. C. R. (Lena) Givens, 76, of 1912 23rd St. will be at 2 p.m. today at the W. W. Rix Chapel with the Rev. Paul Jantzen, pastor of Trinity Church, and the Rev. John Ballard, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Rix Funeral Directors.

She died at 9:55 p.m. Thursday at Methodist Hospital after an illness.

Mrs. Givens was born in Erath County. She married C. R. Givens in 1924 in Crosbyton. He died March 1, 1978.

She was a charter member of the Crosby County Pioneers and had lived in Crosbyton most of her life before moving to Lubbock in 1936.

Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Sandlin of Lubbock; two sons, Kenneth and Morris, both of Lubbock; a sister, Hazel Henexson of Wichita Falls; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Horace Sandlin, O.T. Marsh, Charlie Spears, Ike Robbins, Lefty Hamilton and Don Shinn.
