Services for Melba Hines, 75, of Crosbyton were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Lester B. Griffin officiating.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
She died Wed., Dec. 5, 2001, at Lubbock´s Covenant Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Crosby County, TX.
She married Dutch Hines on Dec. 16, 1950, in Crosbyton. He died July 18, 1994.
She was a member of the Crosbyton First Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Crosbyton High School and attended two years at West Texas State College. She worked as a secretary for 18 years at Crosbyton Seed Company. She lived in Crosbyton all her life.
Survivors include a son, Don Hines of Crosbyton; a daughter, Marsha Morgan of Lubbock; two sisters, Jody Baccus of Lockney and Oleta "Tookie" Wheeler of Crosbyton, three grandchildren, Ginger Morgan Haag of Arlington, Shadrach Hines of Lubbock and Dutch Mackenzie Morgan of Statesboro, GA.
