Graveside services for Joy Jackson, 77 of Crosbyton were at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 28, 2008 in the Crosbyton Cemetery with Jim York and Terry Ellison officiating. Arrangements were under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Joy passed away Friday, April 25, 2008 at her home.

She was born January 3, 1931 in Floydada to the late Walter and Gladys Crawford. On June 1, 1948 she married J. W. Jackson in Crosbyton. Joy had lived in Crosby County all her life and was a member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ. She worked as a librarian for 40 years and as Crosby County Librarian for 15 years, retiring in 2003. First and foremost she was a housewife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include; her husband; J. W. Of Crosbyton, a son and his wife; Wade and Louandra Jackson of Crosbyton, two daughters and their husbands; Reba and Sam Roberson of Garland, Amy and Larry Harris of Crosbyton, a sister Virginia of Tonto Basin, AZ, three grandchildren; Daniel, Mindy and Rachel and three great grandchildren; Braden Shandie and Marissa.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock, 1102 Slide Rd. Ste. 3, Lubbock, Texas 79416 or the Crosby County Library, 114 W. Aspen, Crosbyton, Texas 79322.
