Services for Walter Mack Jackson, 79, of Crosbyton were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 1987 in the Crosbyton Church of Christ with Jim York officiating.Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Jackson died at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 1987 in the Crosbyton Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born October 28, 1907 at Timpson, Shelby County, Texas. He moved with his parents to a farm in the Smith Community south of Crosbyton in January of 1916. He graduated form Crosbyton High School and attended Texas Tech University. He farmed with his family in Crosby County and worked on the L7 Ranch as a young man.
He married Flossie Lee Buchanan March 12, 1934 in New Mexico. They farmed on the East Plains before buying a farm at Hereford and a ranch at Fountain, Colorado where they lived the middle and later years of their lives.
Mack and Flossie moved back to Crosbyton and made their home at 221 N. Crosby in 1984. Flossie Jackson preceded Mack in death May 2, 1986.
Survivors include: 2 Sisters: Lola Singletary, Long Beach, California and Daisey Hutchinson, Redmond, Oregon; 1 Step-brother: Bill Kimberly, Richmond, California; sever nieces and nephews.
