J.E. Johnston Dies; Rites Set
CROSBYTON (Special) Services for J.E. (Temple) Johnston, 95, longtime Crosby County resident, are slated at 3 p.m. Sunday in Crosbyton Church of Christ.Officiating will be Bill Bryant, minister of the church. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.
Johnston died at 9:40 p.m. Thursday in Crosbyton Hospital. He was a native of Geneva County, Ala., and came to Crosby County in 1909, settling at Old Emma. In 1911, he moved to Crosbyton.
Survivors are his wife, Martha; five sons, J.E. Jr., Crosbyton; Tom, Lakeside, Calif.; W.L., Arlington; Louis, Lamesa, and Derek, San Antonio; three daughters, Mrs. Ora Raymond, Crosbyton; Mrs. R. L. Little, Richardson, and Mrs. Thomas Genovese, Silver Springs, Md.; one brother, Dan, Hollis, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Marve Riddle, Silverton; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
