Obituary
A resident of the Crosbyton community since 1915, Mrs. Kate Shaw Walker was buried Friday in Crosbyton Cemetery . Funeral rites were conducted at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church here with the Rev. Bobby Rine, pastor, officiating.Arrangements were handled by Adams Funeral Home. Nephews were pallbearers.
Mrs. Walker, one of the area´s older residents at age 90, died about 9:45 a.m. last Wednesday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. She suffered a lengthy illness.
A Slidell native, the former Kate Shaw was married to Liam A. (Andy) Walker in Slidell in 1908. Walker preceded his wife in death in 1967.
Mrs. Walker resided in the Pansy Community for a number of years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Ms. Jeff Doyle of Clovis, NM, and Mrs. Betty Thomas of Krum; 24 nephews and nieces.
