On May 16th another one of Crosby County's old settlers passed to the good land above.

Mrs. Henry Moore, who had lived at Old Emma for 18 years, was called to sleep May 16th, and was laid away in the Emma Cemetery on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. the 17th.

Mrs. Moore was born November 20, 1876, making her age 59 years, 5 months and 6 days. She professed a hope in Christ 36 years ago joining the Baptist Church, at that time and lived a devoted Christian.

Was married to Henry Moore in Bell County, Texas, July 21st, 1892. To this union were born 13 children, ten boys and three girls. Three boys and one girl has proceeded her to the home above.

She was a devoted mother, being proud of her great family of children.

Being in their home often I can say, she and Henry Moore were as well mated as any two I know of. She was a kind wife, devoted mother, a sweet Christian and helpful neighbor.
