Graveside services for Wilburn Lee Chandler, 66, of Lorenzo were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 1998 at the Lorenzo Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Williams officiating.
Burial will be in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Chandler died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998, at his Lorenzo residence where he was under hospice care.
He was born Mar. 1, 1932, in Artesia, NM. He married Christine Lobstein on Aug. 20, 1952, in Clovis, NM.
He was a member of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church. He was a carpenter and lived in Lorenzo most of his life.
A son, David Lee Chandler, preceded him in death Oct. 27, 1990.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Chandler of Lorenzo; one son, Carl Chandler of Lubbock; one daughter, Debbie Timmins of Lorenzo; one brother, William Chandler of Bakersfield, CA; one step-brother, Kenneth McClain of Cleburne; two sisters, Pauline Graves and Doris Brandt, both of Midland, TX; one step-sister, Della Manley of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
