Chastain Rites Scheduled Today

RALLS (Special) - Funeral services for Joseph Benjamin Chastain, 95, resident of Lorenzo for the past 44 years, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Lorenzo Baptist Church.

Officiating will be the Rev. Roy Davidson, pastor, and assisting will be the Rev. Roy Davidson of O´Brien, Texas.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home of Ralls.

Chastain, a retired farmer, died at 6 a.m. Thursday in Ralls Convalescent Home.

A native of Saline County, Ark., Chastain moved to Lorenzo from Red River County, Tex., in 1921.

Survivors include one son, Herman Chastain of Lorenzo; two daughters, Mrs. Elbert Parks of Floydada and Mrs. Ora Clemmons of Lorenzo; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be T.J. Eaves, H.B. Chastain Jr., Don Chastain, Earl Pierce, Euland Eaves and Sam Simms.
