LORENZO (Special) - Graveside services for Pedro Clemente Chavez, 41, will be at 5 p.m. today at Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

He was declared dead at 9:55 a.m. Thursday near the 400 block of Jefferson Avenue in Lorenzo by Justice of the Peace Jim S. Travis after a domestic dispute erupted into gunfire.

He was born in Corpus Christi. He married Isabel Samarripas Aug. 15, 1964, in Floydada. He was a farmer and had lived in Crosby County for the past 25 years.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Charlie, Fidencio, Steven, Jamie and Juan, all of the home; four daughters, Maria, Josie, Esmeralda, Isabel, all of the home; a brother, Andy Chavez of Lubbock; four sisters, Amada Ortiz, Lupe Hernandez, Angie Rodriguez, Pauline Flores, all of Washington state.
