LORENZO (Special) - Services for Rena Cherry, 74, of Lorenzo will be at 4:30 p.m. today in Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Williams officiating.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died Monday, Feb. 17, 1997, in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital.

She was born Nov. 10, 1922, in Van Buren, Ark. She married Herman G. Cherry on May 30, 1941, in Morton.

She was a nurse at Fort Lyons Veterans Administration Hospital in Fort Lyons, Colo., and retired in 1995.

Survivors include her husband; a son, John of Roanoke; a daughter, Glyndell Outhan of Houston; a brother, Nathan Simmons of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Lena Swetnam of Lorenzo; and four grandchildren.
