Kelsey Chesshir Rites Held Here Sunday

Kelsey Chesshir, 73, of Rt. 3 Lubbock, city marshall of Lorenzo, died at 10 a.m. Saturday in Methodist Hospital.

Funeral was conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Lorenzo Church of Christ. Dr. Dudley Strain, pastor of Lubbock´s Firs Christian Church, and Sterling Walker, minister of the Lorenzo church, officiated.

Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery with Carter Funeral Home of Ralls in charge of arrangements.

Chesshir moved to Lorenzo from Dallas 25 years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Valle; a son, Robert Frank of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. W.H. Moore of El Paso; a sister, Mrs. Versa Mowrey of Quanah; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Horace Norman, Raymond Evans, Chester Maxey, Bill Jones, Leslie Huckaby and James O´Rear.
