Services for Syble Pickard, 78, of Lorenzo will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 17, 2005 at the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Bevel officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
Syble passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at the Ralls Nursing Home. She was born January 20, 1927 in Jacksonville, Texas to Ira and Georgia (Williams) Hodges.
On May 8, 1946 she married Bill Pickard in Dallas, Texas. She was a member of the Petersburg First Baptist Church and moved to the Lorenzo area in 1960 from Levelland. She is preceded in death by a son; Wayne Pickard who passed away on March 2, 1999. Survivors include: her husband; Bill of Lorenzo, two sons and their wives; Edward and Betty of Dallas, Philip and Linda of Lorenzo, a daughter and her husband; Ruth Ann and Chuck Barton of Lubbock 7 grandchildren; Noah Pickard, Amanda Pickard, Justin Pickard, Rebeka Bailey, Ben Barton, Cybbi Barton, Sarah Barton and 2 great grandchildren Collin and Haley Pickard.
