Rosary for Patricio "Pat" Alcala, 75, of Ralls was recited at 7:00 PM Monday, October 20, 2003 at St. Michael´s Catholic Church in Ralls. Mass was celebrated at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at the same church with the Rev. Leonardo Pahamtang officiating.He died Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Crosbyton Hospital. He was born August 25, 1928 in Edinburg, Texas to Jose and Angelica Almenaza Alcala. On January 1, 1958 he married Rene Lopez in Crosbyton. He was a member of St. Michael´s Catholic Church and a farmer. He had worked for Kenny Adams, I. B. Davis, Rainwater Farms and David Davis Farms. He had lived in the Ralls area most of his life.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; Lorenzo, Adolfo and Juan and a sister Josefina Estrada.
Survivors include: His wife; Rene of Ralls, eight sons; J. C. and his wife Tomi, Felix and his wife Ramona, Patricio and his wife Corina all of Ralls, Robert and his wife Kathy of Beaumont, AL, Adolfo of Holland, Mich. Armando and his wife Mary, Hector, and Oscar and his wife Esmar all of Lorenzo, three daughters; Mary Aguilar and her husband Armando of Zealand, Mich, Diana Chavez and her husband Fidencio of Idalou, and Angie and Bryan of Holland, Mich. Two brothers; Albert of Yakima, WA, Jose of St. Paul, Minn., two sisters; Guadalupe Rofino of Texarkana, Texas, Margarita Garza of Lubbock, 33 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steve Garza, Adam Alcala, Abel Alcala, Ridencio Chavez, Osbaldo Gonzalez, Jr., Charlie Lira, Joe Ramirez and Jaime Garza.
