RALLS (Special) — Funeral services for Emery Braxton Ashcraft, 78, of Ralls are set for 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Haddock, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Ashcraft died Tuesday morning in Ralls Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

He was a retired carpenter, Ashcraft moved to Ralls in 1926 from Howland. He was a native of Grayson County.

Survivors include a son, Bill of Ralls; a daughter, Mrs. Loyd (Sarah) Roden of Ralls; a brother, J.C. of Lubbock; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Sherburne of Lubbock and Mrs. Vivian Smith of Whittier, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
