U.S.Flag Services for Donald Ray Chapman, 70, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2004, in the Franklin-Bartley Chapel with the Rev. Lanny Hemmings officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.

Mr. Chapman passed away Sunday, May 2, 2004, in Lubbock.

He was born Aug. 2, 1933 to the late Murphy and Roxie Howard Chapman in Ralls. He graduated from Robertson High School in 1951. He served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the Texas Highway Department. He was a member of the Lubbock Area Square, the Round Dance Federation, the Solo's Squares and the Baptist Church. He married Clara Leibfried in 1960 in Lorenzo. Don was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and J.B.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff and Ronnie Chapman, both of Lubbock; three daughters, Roxanne McLain of Spartanburg, S.C., Sandra Wyatt of Abbeyville, S.C. and Karen Dixon of Lubbock; a brother, Robert Chapman of Lorenzo; a twin sister, Helen Seale and husband, Donald, of Lubbock; and 11 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
