Garland E. Ford of Ralls, a Crosby County resident for 52 years, was claimed by death at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in West Texas Hospital, Lubbock. Mr. Ford was 88.Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church of Ralls with the Rev. Floyd Haddock, pastor, officiating. Interment was made in Ralls Cemetery.
A farmer and a member of First Baptist Church, Mr. Ford and the former Elizabeth Kimbrough were married Sept. 15, 1912, in Prosper. Mrs. Ford died March 17, 1977.
The couple moved to Crosby County from Denton County.
Survivors include one son, Lester Ford of Lyons, Colo.; one daughter, Ona Mae Martin of Ralls; a brother, W.R. Ford of Lubbock; two sisters, Leia Tarleton of Ralls and Mrs. Charlie Lewis of Andrews; eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
