In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by parents Berl and Titus Perkins of Ralls and sisters Mavis Benton, Christine Pace and Lorene Callaway.
Doris worked in Ralls stores for many years and was a long-time member of Emma Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting, and serving old-fashioned meals and homegrown food.
Visitation among family and friends will be hosted by Emma Church of Christ immediately following graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Lubbock.
