Clarence Albert Vaughan, the son of Thomas Edgar Vaughan and Birtie Mae Smyer, was born September 17, 1908 in Whitener, Madison County, Arkansas, and died September 28, 1992 in Andrews, Adrews County, Texas. He married Ada Belle Reeder June 24, 1928 in Lorenzo, Crosby County, Texas, daughter of John Reeder and Rosetta Anderson. She was born September 10, 1911 in Killeen, Bell County, Texas, and died February 16, 1988 in Odessa, Ector County, Texas.
Clarence and Ada both lived in Andrews, Texas at the time of their death, although Ada died in the hospital in Odessa. They are both buried in Ralls, Crosby County, Texas with other family members.

ANDREWS -- Services for Ada Vaughan, 76, of Andrews are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Singleton Funeral Home Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. Ted Short officiating.
Burial will be in the Ralls Cemetery.
Mrs. Vaughan died Tuesday at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa after a lengthy illness. She was born Sept. 10, 1911, in Killeen. She married Clarence Vaughan June 23, 1928, in Crosby County. Mrs. Vaughan, a homemaker, had lived in Andrews for 12 years and previously lived in Barstow. She was a member of McKinney Acres Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, James C. Vaughan and Sid Vaughan, both of Lubbock; four daughters, Ida Mae McWilliams of Big Springs, Joyce Fults Dumas and Melba Cosgrove, both of Andrews, and Virgie Wienkauf of McCamey; two brothers, Flynn Reeder of Dallas and Claude Reeder of Pueblo, Colo.; a sister, Loula Caskey of Georgetown; 22 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Clarence Vaughan, 84, of Andrews are set for 10 a.m. today (Thursday) in the Ralls Cemetery in Ralls with the Rev. Jim Morrow, a Baptist minister from Ralls, officiating.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Vaughan died Monday at 12:30 p.m. in Permian General Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born September 17, 1908, in Whitener, Arkansas.
Vaughan lived in Andrews 15 years, moving here from Barstow. He was an equipment operator in construction until his retirement.
He also worked as a deputy sheriff in Crosby County in the 1940s. He was a Baptist. He married Ada Reeder June 24, 1928, in Lorenzo and she preceded him in death February 16, 1988. He married Mabel Reed in 1990 in Andrews.
Survivors include two sons. Jim "Sonny" Vaughan and Side Vaughan, both of Lubbock (one son, Thomas A. Vaughan preceded him in death March 28, 1977) two daughters, Joyce Fults Dumas of Andrews and Melba Landon of Seminole (two other daughters preceded him in death, Ida Mae McWilliams of Big Springs on June 29, 1992 and Virgie Wienkalf of Crane in July 1992); 17 grandchildren and over 20 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchildren.
