Nancy Cantwell

was born in Lubbock,

Texas on January 21, 1933. She died in Dallas, Texas on April 30, 2009, after open-heart surgery.

She married J. Edward Cantwell in Athens, Texas, on Dec. 26, 1959. She is a member of the First Christian Church. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Denton County Genealogical Society and Zeta Tau Alpha.

This is your opportunity to talk about your genealogy research. Bring your successes, brick walls, and exciting new discoveries to share with the members.

There will be no formal speaker at the meeting, and we will all use the time to help each other out, make

suggestions, and learn more about each other.

Come early to socialize and find out what’s in store for everyone’s summer of researching. We’re all especially eager to hear from our new members.

We will also discuss upcoming programs for next year.

The Denton County Genealogical Society offers a wealth of programs, information, and fellowship to all those interested in tracing their family  roots. Membership is also quite a bargain in this day of tight budgets. Individual membership is only $15.00 per year and a membership for couples is only $25.00 per year.

Meetings are scheduled on the second Thursday of the months of September-November and January-May.

Programs and speakers cover a wide range of topics, including: genealogy tips, records, and migration.

The Denton County Genealogical Society also publishes a newsletter, maintains a website, and offers assistance to beginning genealogists.

Come join us for an exciting, educational year!
