PROGRAM:

“Round Table of Member Experiences”

There are so many times that everything comes together and we stumble onto what we've been
looking for, for so long, or people show up with that piece of info or
relationship that we've been needing; or from hard-core research that
finally found us that needle in the haystack.  It is so encouraging to
hear others' struggles and successes and gives us a chance to pat
ourselves on the back for our own little triumphs.  What drama as we
listen and walk with them through

cemeteries, courthouses and history to
find those pieces of their ancestors' lives.  What learning as we
discover ways and strategies that might work for us.
 
Please limit your stories to about 5 minutes, especially if many of you
want to talk or show.  Maybe we could call it "show and tell."

THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL YEAR

The Denton County Genealogical Society would like to thank each and every one of you who helped to make this year so successful. Our membership is up, and we had very interesting programs throughout the year.  Please remember that May is our last meeting of the year. We will start our new year with the September 12th meeting. The executive committee and the program committee will meet over the summer to plan the programs for next year. If

you have any suggestions for programs, please let our program chair, Dayonne Work know.

Dues for next year can be paid to our treasurer, Linda Touraine at any time.

We hope you have enjoyed our meetings, and we look forward to seeing you again in September.

Use your summer to work on your genealogy, and get reacquainted with your family.
