Confederate Veterans Filing Pension Applications from Denton County
If your ancestor lived in Denton County between the 1890's and 1975 and served in the Confederate army or navy, there is a good chance he or his widow filed for a pension. They did not have to necessarily serve from Denton County. They could have enlisted in another county or even another state. If you find your ancestor listed, you can request a copy of the application from the Texas State Archives. They can contain valuable information.
