Elda Roy Perryman died, August 21, in Lubbock. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Afton Baptist Church with Lee Dewees of Lovington, NM, assisted by Paul McClung of New Home officiating.
Perryman was a lifetime resident of Dickens County. The 20 year old youth was injured on August 17 when a horse he was riding fell and pinned the youth beneath it.
He is survived by his parents; Jimmie Perryman and Clemmie Perryman of Afton; one sister, Dorthea Helen Whitefield of Matador and four brothers, Elvis Lee, Delbert Wayne, and Eddie Ray of Afton and William Dean of Ropesville.
Pallbearers were Jerry Gage, Gene Legg, J.W. Bitner, Harold Goodwin, Larry Wade Roberts and Kenneth Brendle.
Burial was in the Afton Cemetery.
