Memorial Services for Cecil Carroll, 80, of Spur will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Dickens Baptist Church with Revs. C.L. Atkinson and Tommy Henderson officiating. Services are under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home in Spur.He died January 18, 2005 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. Mr. Carroll was born September 19, 1924 in Weatherford to Gean and Lillie Biggs Carroll. He worked in his father's boot shop in Dickens and later went to work for Porter's Phillips 66 service station in Dickens, where he was employed for many years. He was a member of Dickens Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two nephews and one great nephew.
Cecil is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Ann and William Butler of Haskell, one niece and her husband, Patsy and James Hickox of Abilene, great nephews and spouses, Terry and Joy Butler of Knox City, Eugene and Nikki Butler of Germany, Tommy Butler, of Haskell, Mickey Don Butler of Abilene, Jordan Butler Hickox of Abilene and Cameron Butler Hickox of Abilene, three great great nephews and 4 great great nieces.
