Funeral Services Held Monday For Two Victims Of Station Blast
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church for Sherrod Lynn Kidd, 12, who was killed Saturday in the explosion and fire at Cherry´s Service Station here.Born November 24, 1949 in Crosbyton, the youth had lived in Dickens County all his life. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe M. Kidd, Dickens.
Rev. Robert Fields, Dickens officiated; he was assisted by Rev. Victor Crabtree.
Survivors were his parents, four sisters, Donna Beth Kidd, Dickens; Mrs. Bill Fry, Lubbock and Mrs. Harvey Cannon and Mrs. R. D. Waddell, both of Spur; three brothers, Barry Kidd, Dickens; Lee Kidd, Petersburg and James Kidd, Spearman.
Pallbearers were Ray Hindman, Neal Hindman, Tim Karr, Arlen Karr, Larry Don Bass, Curtis Parsons, Bruce Sprayberry and Jack Alexander.
Interment was in Spur Cemetery.
