A memorial service for James N."Jimmie" Koon, 61, Hurst, are scheduled for 11 a.m. March 16, 1992 at Mount Olive Funeral Chapel 2301 N. Sylvania Ave. Fort Worth, Texas.

Mr. Koon was born in Spur, January 16, 1931 to Jewel and James A. Koon. He was graduated from Spur High School and several years later graduated from Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth.

He was a member of the Methodist Church.

After early retirement from Bell Helicopter Co. because of ill health, he was active as a volunteer in several area hospitals, at one time he visited and comforted children with cancer in a children´s hospital. He was kind, loving, caring and generous with his time and money helping others.

Survivors are a son, James Mark Koon and wife, Carol, a stepson and daughter; a daughter, Kathy Pace and husband, Steve and two daughters; a brother, Billy W. Koon and wife, Billie, Daingerfield; sister, Margaret Dickerson and husband, Ben of Tyler, Texas, sister Joyce Blair, Lone Star, nephews, nieces and cousins.

He will be remembered with love by his family and many friends.

After cremation, the remains will be placed in the family plot at Dickens Cemetery, Dickens, Texas at a later date.
