Services for Ruth Partridge, 89, Lubbock, formerly of Dickens, were at 2 p.m. January 17, 1990, at graveside in the Dickens Cemetery.Rev. C. L. Atkinson, pastor of the Afton Baptist Church, officiated.
Campbell Funeral Home, Spur, was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Partridge died at her home in Lubbock about 10:25 a.m. January 15. Justice of the peace McKinley Sheppard ruled death due to natural causes.
Born November 15, 1900 in the Croton Community, she had been a Lubbock resident since 1978, moving there from Dickens. A housewife, she was a member of the Baptist Church.
She married Andrew Jackson Partridge on November 29, 1923 in Dallas. he died in November of 1942.
Survivors include one son, Jack Partridge, Socorro, NM; (Edd Partridge preceded her in death in 1979); four daughters, Helen Bingham, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Louise Sharp, Lubbock; June Goodwin, Dickens and Linda Cavanaugh, Cotali, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
