
Funeral rites for Mrs. J. L. Williamson were held at the Soldier Mound church Sept. 5 with Rev. John R. Boone, assisted by Rev. Herman Coe, conducting the service.Mrs. Williamson was born Willie Richey, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Joe Richey, in Commanche county on Jan. 30, 1884. She was converted to the Baptist church at the age of 17. She became the wife of J. L. Williamson on Dec. 9, 1906 in Comanche county where they made their home until 1924.
Mrs. Williamson passed away on Sept. 1. She is survived by her husband and four sons: J. L., Jr., Lee and Dee of Spur and Orville of CA. two daughters, Mrs. Wilie Mae West and Orita Worley of Spur. She is also survived by two brothers: Andrew Richey and John Roft Richey of CA. and 17 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lee Parker, Arthur Bilberry, John Gragson, Frank Sonnamker, Douglas and R. S. Bostick, Flowerbearers were Mrs. Lee Parker, Mrs. Arthur Bilberry, Mrs. Roy Caplinger, Mrs. M. C. Wade Mrs. J. R. Boone and Mrs. Grace Boykin.
Interment was in Dickens cemetery with Chandler Funeral Home in charge.

Funeral services were held for John Luther Williamson Monday, May 8, at 2 p.m. in the Soldier Mound Baptist Church. Rev. Dock Love and Frank Adams officiated the services.Mr. Williamson was born July 7, 1886 in Texas. He married Willie Ritchie at Gustine, Texas on December 9, 1906. They moved to Dickens County in 1925.
Pallbearers were A.M. Karr, Lee Parker, Clyde Smith, Russell Williams, Jess Owens and John Grayson.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Orita Crawford of Snyder, Willie Mae West of Spur; 4 sons, Dee, Lee, J.L. all of Spur and Orvil of Calif., 1 sister, Mrs. Ray Moore of Gustine, Texas' 3 brothers, Ellie of Comanche, Will and George of Carlton, Texas and 20 grandchildren.
Chandler Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. Interment was in the Dickens Cemetery.
