STRAWN (Special) - Services for Morris H. "Toby" Collett Jr., 64, of Strawn will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Beaty officiating.
Burial will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Spur´s Espuela Cemetery under direction of Edwards Funeral Home, Strawn.
He died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998, at Palo Pinto General Hospital in Mineral Wells.
He was born May 3, 1933, in Spur, graduated from Spur High School and attended Texas Tech. He married Mary Lynn Stark on Dec. 17, 1951, in Clovis, N.M..
He worked in the banking industry in Spur and Strawn for 34 years.
Survivors include his wife; his mother and stepfather, Mary Pauline "Polly" and John H. Montgomery of Spur; a son, Michael R. Collett of Victoria; three daughters, Connie Moore of Waxahachie, Christie Rogoski of Strawn and Cathy Hensley of San Angelo; a sister, Colette Lauderdale of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Tri-City Ambulance Service or First United Methodist Church in Strawn.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn.

Mary Lynn Collett, 66, of Strawn, TX, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 27, 1998. Services were Friday,October 30 in the First United Methodist Church. Rev. Tom Beaty officiated. Burial was at La Espuela Cemetery in Spur under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Strawn.
She was born February 10, 1932 in Hope. Arkansas to Edd Monroe and Jo Alice (Anderson) Stark. She was a graduate of Levelland High School and attended Draugns School of Business in Lubbock where she met and married Morris H. (Toby) Collett, Jr. on December 17, 1951 in Loving, NM. Mr. Collett preceded her in death on January 31, 1998. She was a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels in Strawn. She was a member of the First United Methodist church and very active in all areas of the church. Her love was being a housewife and mother not only to her own children but to many other children in her community.
Mrs. Collett is survived by her son, Michael R. Collett, Victoria, TX; 3 daughters, Mrs. Mark (Connie) Moore, Waxahachie; Mrs. Adam (Christi) Rogoski, III, Strawn; Mrs. Curtis (Cathy) Hensley, San Angelo; 2 brothers, Walter Stark, Redding, CA; Carroll Stark, Hurst; 1 sister, Annette Barlow, Denton; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by one sister, Betty Morton.
Memorial may be made to Meals-on-Wheels of Strawn and the First United Methodist church.
