SPUR (Special) - Services for Hubert Leroy Karr, 91, of Bowie will be at 2 p.m. today in Campbell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Genoa Goad, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.Burial will be in Espuela Cemetery.
Karr died Tuesday, September 6, 1994, in Bowie Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 3, 1903, in Hunt County. He married Sylvia Cox on November 11, 1932, in Spur. He was a Mason and a Baptist.
He was a farmer and former director of the Spur Farmer´s Co-op Gin.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jean North of Bowie, Jane Koonsman of Dallas and Paulita Green of New Orleans; two brothers, Guy of Spur and Ray of Dickens; a sister, Pauline Montgomery of Spur; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Don Karr, Dwain Green, Dan Karr, Morris Collett, John Grant and Denny Spradling.

SPUR (special) - Services for Sylvia Jewel Karr, 82, of Bowie will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Spur First Baptist Church with the Rev. Norris Taylor of Idalou and Richard Harbison of Spur officiating.Burial will be in Espuela Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.
She died Sunday, August 25, 1996, in Bowie Nursing Home.
She was born July 17, 1914, in Taylor County. She married Hubert L. Karr on November 11, 1932, in Spur. He died September 6, 1994. She moved to Bowie from Spur in 1977. She was a Baptist.
She was an assistant postmaster for many years.
Survivors include three daughters, Jean North of Bowie, Jane Koonsman of Dallas and Paulita Green of New Orleans, La; a stepbrother, Marion Kinman of Fort Worth; two sisters, Ethel Marden of McLean, Va., and Grace Duggins of Socorro, NM; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
