Kay owns the books The History of Dickens County, its Land and People published by the Dickens County Historical Commission; A History of Dickens County: ranches and rolling plains by Fred Arrington. She knows where to look for the records in Dickens County, contacts for history, local cemeteries, and marriage records.

Linda Hughes   Will do lookups for cemeteries and family history. I personally own the books The History of Dickens County, its Land and People published by the Dickens County Historical Commission; A History of Dickens County: ranches and rolling plains by Fred Arrington. Top of the Cap by Mildred Jackson (Shirley) Cornelius which covers the time period from 1880 until 1985 of McAdoo, Texas. It includes family histories, cemetery listings, census and names of students, teachers, board members, parents and members of the community that made up the McAdoo school system from 1929 to the final graduating class of 1985.

Ron Brantner owns the books Dickens County, Its Land And People, published by the Dickens County Historical Commission; A History of Dickens County: Ranches and Rolling Plains, by Fred Arrington; The Spurs, by W. J. Elliot, detailing his experiences with the Spur Ranch, starting in 1888, and other Dickens history (not indexed); A Family Named Smith, From A Place Called Red Mud, by Clifton Watkins. Jay Odom   Texas Death Certificate lookups and copies. It costs $4 per certificate and can be mailed within a week or two.

There are people at this URL who have CDs that will do look ups for free....the CD is listed and the owner of the CD with it. Go to CD Lookup to request. Please read the rules first, as you will get much better results.
