Services For Buddy Allen, 57, Held In McAdoo Church

Alfred Justin (Buddy) Allen, 57, died at 3 a.m. Monday, May 26, in the Muleshoe hospital.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Main Street Baptist Church of Muleshoe. The body was brought overland by King Funeral home and was held here until Thursday. Services were held at 2:30 p.m., May 29, at the McAdoo Baptist Church, with Rev. R. C. McCloud officiating, assisted by Rev. Carl Coffey.

Allen was a native Texan, born April 3, 1895. He lived in the McAdoo community until four months ago when he purchased a farm at Muleshoe and moved there.

He is survived by his wife, five sons, J. R. of Crosbyton, Cpl. Ross N. Allen who is stationed in Germany, George, David and Clifton, of Muleshoe; two daughters, Mr. G. D. Butler of Stanton and Mrs. Eddie Shipman of Lubbock; two grandchildren, his father, G. W. Allen of McAdoo, six brothers, R. Y. of Dallas, Cumby, John, Charley, Pete and Doug of McAdoo; four sisters, Mrs. John Anderson of Haskell, Mrs. Loyd Hickman of McAdoo, Mrs Lois Brownlow of Lubbock and Mrs. Sid McCombs of Amarillo.

Pallbearers were B. C. Hardin, Jodie Jopling, Raymond Eldridge, Ben Steadham, Doc Cooper and Jimmie Flemmons.
