Obituary

Services for Cleta Nell Allen, 39, of 4925 Brownfield Highway will be at 3 p.m. today at W. W. Rix Chapel with the Rev. J. Waid Griffin, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating, and the Rev. Archie Echols, pastor of First United Metodist Church in Spur, assisting. Burial will be in McAdoo Cemetery under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors

She died Sunday in Methodist Hospital after an illness.

A native of Spur, she was raised in McAdoo and was a 1958 graduate of Crosbyton High School. She came to Lubbock in 1962, where she attended Texas Tech University and worked as secretary to the chief of police.

Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Allen of Lubbock; a grandmother, Thelma Ward of Dickens; and a brother, Grady of Roseburg.
