Sarah Perkins Dies March 24

Mrs. Sarah A. Perkins, 88, was buried in the Red Mud cemetery on Sunday, March 24, following funeral services at the Spur Church of Christ. C. V. Allen officiated.

Mrs. Perkins was born in Florence, Ala. on July 27, 1869, and died in Gunter, Texas on March 23, 1957. She came to Texas in 1895, and in 1918 she settled in the Red Mud community in Dickens County. She had lived at Gunter since 1951.

Pallbearers were Buran Jones, Wallace Hinson, Forrest Martin, Donnie Pace, Curtis Childress and Melton Smith.

Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Fount Harrell of Fot Worth, and a nephew, Clyde Perkins of Thomas, Okla.

Interment was in the Red Mud cemetery with Campbell's Funeral Home in charge.
