Funeral services for Marvin Cecil Alexander, 74, were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the First Christian Church with church pastor, Rev. Leslie Lane, officiating.
Alexander was pronounced dead on arrival at Crosbyton Hospital February 2 at about 2:10 p.m. A retired farmer, he had lived most of his life in Dickens County. He was born in Roundtimber, Texas on May 29, 1909. He married the former Minnie Mae Smith in Crosbyton on January 27, 1945.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Mae Alexander, Spur; a son, Don Alexander, Houston; two daughters, Maurine Viggers, Houston, Dortha Caylor, Genesee, Pennsylvania; five step-sons, Jack Smith, Monahans; Billy Smith, Granbury; Troyce and Charlie Smith, both of Spur; J.O. Adcock, Corpus Christi, one sister, Eva Hussey, California and 27 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons served as pallbearers. Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mennie May Alexander, 80 were held Friday at 5 p.m. in the First Christian Church with church pastor, Leslie Lane, officiating.
Mrs. Alexander died about 6:30 a.m. July 26, in the Spur Care Center. Justice of the Peace Woodie McArthur rules the death due to natural causes.
Born July 16, 1904 in Dallas County, she had lived most of her life in Dickens County. She married Marvin Alexander on January 27, 1945 in Crosbyton. He died in March of 1984. A homemaker, she was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the First Christian Church.
She is survived by 5 sons; Jack Smith, Monahans, Billy Smith, Granbury; J.O. Adcock, Corpus Christi; Troyce Smith, Spur and Charlie Smith, Spur; one step-son, Don Alexander, Houston; two step-daughters, Maurine Viggers, Houston and Dortha Caylor, Genesee, PA, three sisters, Pearl Wells, Aspermont; Lois Height, Clarendon, Lovell Edmonson, Meaker, Oklahoma; 27 grandchildren, 25 greats.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery.
