Services for Viola Alpha Alexander, 92, Spur were held at 11 a.m. June 17, in the Assembly of God Church with Rev. Bob Wright, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. James Wood, Roff, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Alexander died June 15, about 8:20 a.m. in the Crosbyton Hospital following a lengthy illness. A home-maker, she had lived most of her life in Spur. She was born January 26, 1895 in Gonzalez. She first married Albert Spraberry who died in 1950. In September, 1970, she married Cecil Alexander. He died in 1973.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a son, George Spraberry; two stepsons, Lonni and Flavious Alexander, both of Spur; a daughter, Hazel Fulfer, Spur and a step-daughter, Vergie Franklin, Spur; one brother, Steve Oates, Pampa and one sister, Bertha Tanner, Haskell; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Maynard Brown, Larry Bass, Larry Reeder, Todd Davis, Floyd Willis and Alvin Baker.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
