Funeral services for Dupree Victor Allen, infant son of Chief and Mrs. Dupree Allen and grandson of Mr. And Mrs. V.C. Allen of Spur, who died April 9, 1948 in Huntington, West Virginia, were held Tuesday afternoon, April 13, at 3:00 o'clock in the First Church of Christ in Spur, with minister Frank L. Cox officiating.Dalton Johnson was in charge of the singing.
Pallbearers were Misses Annette Lee, Lucy Nell Boothe, Carolyn Kelly, and Katherine Kelly.
Little Dupree Victor Allen was born prematurely on February 17, in a hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.
He was kept in an incubator for some time and high hopes were maintained for his survival. He became acutely ill last week and passed away that day, on Friday the 9th of April.
Chandler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Interment was made in the Spur Cemetery.
