Services for Lyle C. Allen, 75, of Spur, were at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 1993, in the First United Methodist Church.

Church pastor Rev. Kenney Kirk officiated, assisted by Ernie Bishop, minister of the Highway 70 Church of Christ.

Mr. Allen died March 5 at his home in Spur. Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born in DeKalb, Mississippi, Allen married Eloise Little on December 23, 1942 in Meridian, Mississippi. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Eloise Allen, Spur; a son, David Allen, Spur; a daughter, Becky McGalliard, Spur; one sister, Myrtle Smith, Meridian, Mississippi; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Pallbearers included Sparky Eckles, Pete Little, Robert Waddell, Joe Garcia, P.D. Hagins and W.W. Gregory.

Services for Eloise Allen, 78, of Spur were held at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Spur with the Rev. Larry Burton officiating. Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

She died Wednesday, December. 18, 2002 in Lubbock.

Mrs. Allen was born September 11, 1924, in Chunky, Mississippi to William Eugene and Lela Brown Little. She graduated high school in Chunky, MS in 1942. She married Lyle Allen on Dec. 23, 1942, in Meridian, MS. He preceded her in death in 1993. She was a retired loan officer and a homemaker. She was awarded Business Associate of the Year in 1997 by the American Businesswomen´s Association. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Spur.

She is survived by one son, David Allen of Spur; one daughter, Becky McGalliard of Spur; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
